Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 29, 2025
Last Updated: May 29, 2025

At ELEVATE-ED, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “App”), which are designed specifically for educators, counselors, and other educational professionals. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

We collect personal information when you register for an account or interact with the App. This may include your name, email address, professional title, and affiliation with a school or institution. We also collect account-related details such as your username and password. If the App allows for the input of student-related data, you may enter notes, identifiers, or other educational or counseling information related to students. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have appropriate authorization to share such data in compliance with local laws and your institution’s policies.

Additionally, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the App, such as your IP address, browser or device type, usage patterns, and the features you access. This information helps us improve functionality, troubleshoot issues, and enhance user experience.

The information we collect is used to operate and maintain the App, deliver services to you, respond to your inquiries, provide updates, personalize your experience, and improve our features. We may also use the information to meet legal obligations and support institutional compliance, such as with FERPA or other applicable privacy laws. Under no circumstances do we sell or rent your personal information or student data to third parties.

We process your data based on your consent, as necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, to comply with legal requirements, or based on our legitimate interests in improving and securing the App. When necessary, we share data with trusted third-party service providers, such as cloud hosting services, who are under strict data protection agreements and only access your data to perform services on our behalf.

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to secure your data. These include encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. Your data is stored only as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal or contractual obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

The App is intended for use by adults—specifically, educators and counselors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If you enter any information about minors, you must do so in compliance with all applicable laws, such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and only if you are legally permitted to do so.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When significant changes are made, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact us at support@elevate-ed.net.
